LOFOFORA make their election pitch in new track "La machette"

The snap legislative elections in France this summer couldn't have come at a better time for Parisian metal veterans Lofofora, who have announced their first album for 5 years with a new single and electoral campaign.

Alright, they're not actually standing under the LFFR banner, but the video for their latest single "La machette" does have Reuno and co. campaigning on the streets of France and mocking the antics of France's main political parties, with Reuno himself doing an impeccable impersonation of current Prime Minister Édouard Philippe.

It's been a while since we had new material from Lofofora, with previous effort Vanités coming out in 2019, but their upcoming 13th full-length Cœur de Cebile promises to be another solid addition to their back catalogue, with Reuno sounding as angry as ever while also keeping things firmly tongue-in-cheek. You'll have to wait until 4 October for the rest of the album but for the time being you can listen to their last effort down below.
